Malek: My wife should thank me someday. I said another prayer today. Also I know I haven't met my wife yet because I keep my eyes open during my prayer to see if any of the girls I know get prettier and none have yet.

Me: Malorie what do you want for Christmas?
Malorie: Well I'm getting really good at drawing. Once I drew a lake that really looked like a llama so I made it into a llama. Then I started to make a lake again and it looked like a hat or a dancer wearing a hat or a rocket. I'm getting really good at drawing.

Veronica contacted me and asked for updated pictures of the kids. I sent her some, but suggested we meet up at the park and let all the girls play together. The girls are now aware of who she is. In preparation to meeting up with them I asked Malorie what she thought and if she wanted to do it. We had had a really good week this week in school without any fits and I worried about messing it up. She said it was just really weird. She said it was weird because they were adopted and she had other kids that weren't. We were able to talk about how they had different dads than she did and how Malorie and Amelia's dad was unsafe and Veronica couldn't keep them safe from him. Gina and Loralee have a different dad that wasn't a threat to them.
Amelia is more closed with her feelings. I told her and she got a bit teary and excited. I asked her what she was feeling and she just said she was really excited and she couldn't remember what Veronica looked like.
The girls didn't really pay much attention to Veronica except looking at her. Veronica made no attempt to talk or interact with them. Veronica did say she still feels like it was the best decision she could have made for them. She said when she found out she was expecting Gina (she had Gina the same month the adoption papers were signed) she knew she couldn't do it. She said she just knew she couldn't provide for all of them. She said it was hard, but still feels like it was the best decision for them.
